This slide presentation outlines information on modeling software that can be adapted to a utility's modeling needs. A case study is presented of Tampa Bay Water's effort to develop modeling tools for analyzing their system operations. Their goal was to predict delivered water quality and system pressures with a variety of supplies and configurations. They developed hydraulic and water quality models in WaterCAD and Excel. Topics covered include: transfer of hydraulic model results to the water quality model; obtain results and format reportsfor desired parameters; presentation of the automated model interface; discussion of advantages; calibration of automated process; programming elements of modelinterface; front-end interfaceprogramming elements; example of a model interface; establish system demands and supplies using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA); sample report:Predicted Delivered Water Quality;sample reports: System Supplies and, generation of PowerPointPresentation customized to user needs.
