This paper will describe key components of an integrated operational decision support system, and describe specific efforts and progress made at Seattle Public Utilities to implement such a system for its water utility. In addition, examples are sharedwhich demonstrate actual use of the system to help manage several water quality and supply emergencies. Finally, plans are identified to achieve a more robust system and to directly link it to customers through an automatic call system.
