This paper presents a case study of how one very small community used nanofiltration to treat a water source that was high in organics. The community of Middle River, a native village in northern British Columbia, now enjoys water which fully complies with Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines thanks to a treatment plant, in service since June 2000, that has proven easy to operate and maintain.
