This column discusses the monitoring and compliance deadlines, starting in 2003,for eight new and forthcoming US Environmental Protection Agency drinking waterregulations especially for groundwater systems. It describes how the AmericanWater Works Association's (AWWA) Technical and Educational Council is preparingto launch a long-range regulatory training program for water system managers andoperators. A list of web sites is given that provide more information on AWWA'scurrent array of technical and educational events and resources. Includes figure.
