Full Description

This presentation summarizes the results of astudy of the performance and removal of total organic carbon (TOC) by enhanced softening. A total of 47 Information Collection Rule (ICR) softening plants were analyzed. The study determined that TOC amounts vary across all plants, ranging from 0.9 mg/L to 20 mg/L. Based on this ICR data, the compliance picture for softening plants looks positive. Most plants meet requirements with few needing to further optimize treatment.
